Located on the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto Prefecture, Amanohashidate is one of Japan’s Three Scenic Views. The 3.6-kilometer sandbar, dotted with thousands of pine trees, stretches across Miyazu Bay and Aso Sea, forming a "Bridge to Heaven" that has inspired Japanese poetry and mythology for centuries.

Amanohashidate is about two hours from central Kyoto by express train, with a free shuttle from Amanohashidate Station to the villa. Ine Fishing Village, famous for its rows of funaya boathouses along the coast, is roughly 30 minutes away by bus.
